Maintenance Plans

Central Air Comfort Inc has kept South Florida cool for and the single cheapest thing we do is maintenance. A tune-up costs a fraction of a compressor. Owner Rudy Mendez built this company on that idea: catch the small stuff in the spring, and July stops being a gamble. Our plans cover residential and commercial systems across Dade and Broward.

What a maintenance visit actually covers

This is not a five-minute filter swap. A licensed technician goes through the whole system, inside and out, and writes down what they find. If something is drifting out of spec, you hear about it while it is still a cheap fix.

  • Cleaning condenser and evaporator coils
  • Replacing or cleaning air filters
  • Checking refrigerant levels and pressure
  • Testing thermostat accuracy
  • Lubricating moving components
  • Clearing condensate drain lines — the number one cause of summer shutdowns down here
  • Measuring airflow and tightening loose parts
  • Inspecting the blower motor, fan motors, capacitors and contactors
  • Checking compressor condition

We service central air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, package units, and commercial HVAC. Every system gets a plan built around its size, its age and what the manufacturer asks for — a ten-year-old package unit on a Hialeah rooftop does not need the same schedule as a two-year-old mini-split in a Key Biscayne condo.

Written prices before the wrench comes out

You get the number in writing first. No diagnostic surprises, no parts you did not approve. If the visit turns up a repair or a replacement, we quote it on the spot and you decide — and 100% financing is available if the timing is bad. Free quotes on any work that goes beyond the tune-up itself.

Our technicians are licensedand we hold a 5 out of 5 rating from 42 reviews. That rating did not come from selling people parts they did not need.

From your call to cold air in four steps

  1. Call or email us and tell us the system type and the address. We book you inside our Monday-Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm window.
  2. A licensed tech arrives, runs the full inspection list above, and cleans as they go.
  3. You get a plain-language report: what is healthy, what is wearing, what needs attention now.
  4. We set your next visit. Most South Florida systems do best on a twice-a-year rhythm because the cooling season never really stops.

If the system is already down, we also run Same Day HVAC Services — maintenance customers get priority on the schedule.

Answers

Frequently asked

How often should I schedule air conditioning maintenance in South Florida?

Twice a year is the right rhythm here. Systems in Dade and Broward run nearly year-round, so coils load up with dust and drain lines clog faster than they would in a cooler climate. Two visits a year keeps efficiency up and catches wear before it turns into a breakdown.

How much does AC repair cost?

AC repair costs vary depending on the issue, the parts needed and the system type. We diagnose first, then give you a written price before any work starts, so you always know the number before you approve it.

What are the warning signs that my system needs service now?

Weak airflow from the vents, uneven cooling between rooms, a jump in your electric bill, strange noises, musty odors, short cycling, water pooling around the air handler, or the unit taking much longer to reach the set temperature.

Do you maintain commercial systems too?

Yes. We handle commercial HVAC, package units and rooftop equipment for offices, retail and other businesses, alongside our residential work. The inspection is the same thorough process, scaled to the equipment.

Can I just change the filter myself and skip the tune-up?

Changing your filter is worth doing between visits, but it is only one item on the list. Coil cleaning, refrigerant pressure, electrical testing, capacitor and contactor checks and drain line clearing all need tools and training. Those are the items that actually prevent failures.

What if the tune-up finds a repair I cannot afford right now?

We offer 100% financing so you can take care of it without draining your savings. We will show you the quote, explain what is urgent versus what can wait, and let you decide.
