Where a mini-split makes sense in a South Florida home
A mini-split is two pieces: a compact outdoor condenser and one or more indoor heads mounted high on a wall. A three-inch hole through the wall carries the refrigerant line and the drain. That's the whole install — no ductwork, no plenum, no returns cut into drywall.

- You've added a room, enclosed a patio, or converted a garage and the existing system can't carry the extra load.
- One room runs eight degrees warmer than the rest of the house no matter where you set the thermostat.
- You're cooling a small office, retail bay, server closet or storage room on its own schedule.
- You want to shut off cooling in unused rooms instead of paying to chill the whole building.
- There's no practical route for ductwork — older Miami and Hialeah construction rarely leaves you much attic.
If your home already has good ducts and the issue is airflow rather than capacity, we'll tell you that. Sometimes sealing and cleaning the existing duct system is the cheaper, better fix, and we do that work too.

From your call to cold air in four steps
- Call or message us. Tell us which room is the problem and roughly how big it is. We'll book a visit — often the same day, we run Same Day HVAC Services.
- We come look. Load calculation, electrical check, condenser placement, line-set route. Fifteen to thirty minutes on site for most homes.
- You get a written quote. Equipment model, capacity, price, financing options if you want them. No pressure to sign on the spot.
- We install and start it up. Most single-head installs are done in a day. We vacuum the lines properly, charge the system to spec, test the drain, and show you how the remote and the modes actually work before we leave.
After that, keep it on a maintenance schedule. Mini-split filters are washable and take two minutes, but the coil, the blower wheel and the drain still need a technician once a year — especially in our humidity, where a neglected indoor head starts to smell long before it stops cooling.
