Our Process

Most people call us on the worst day of the summer, when the house is already hot and nobody wants a lecture about SEER ratings. So here is exactly what happens after you dial, written out ahead of time. Rudy Mendez has run this shop for more than 36 years, and the routine below is the same whether you are in a Hialeah Gardens duplex or a retail space in Fort Lauderdale.

From your call to cold air in four steps

  1. You call or message us. We answer Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm. We ask what the unit is doing, how old it is, and where you are. If it is an emergency, we tell you straight away whether we can get someone out the same day.
  2. A technician comes out and diagnoses it. No guessing, no swapping parts to see what sticks. The tech checks refrigerant charge, electrical, airflow and drainage, then tells you what actually failed and why.
  3. You get the price in writing before we start. Repair or replacement, you see the number and approve it. If the fix is not worth the money on a system that is near the end, we say so instead of selling you a repair twice.
  4. We do the work and test it in front of you. Temperature split checked, drain line cleared, thermostat confirmed, area cleaned up. We do not leave until the air coming out of the vents is cold and you have seen it.

Written prices before the wrench comes out

The part of this job that goes wrong for most homeowners is the money conversation, so we have it first. You approve a written figure before any work begins. Our technicians are licensed, which matters when a permit, a warranty claim or an insurance question comes up later. And on bigger jobs like a full installation or replacement, we offer 100% financing, so a compressor that dies in August does not have to come out of savings all at once.

For installations we size the system to the building rather than matching whatever tonnage was there before. South Florida humidity punishes an oversized unit: it cools fast, shuts off, and leaves the air clammy. We look at square footage, ceiling height, insulation, window exposure and the existing duct layout before quoting equipment. If the ducts are undersized or leaking, we tell you that too, because a new condenser bolted to a bad duct system will never deliver what it promises.

Maintenance follows its own checklist: coil cleaning, filter change, drain line flush, capacitor and contactor check, refrigerant pressures, and a look at amperage draw on the compressor. That last one catches motors that are struggling months before they quit. It is the cheapest visit we make and the one that prevents the expensive ones.

What our customers say about the way we work

We hold a rating of 5 out of 5 from 42 reviews. The two below are typical of what people mention most: the quote, and Rudy's own work on site.

Thank you Central Air Comfort Inc for the outstanding service! After getting several quotes, we chose them because they offered the best value and exceeded our expectations.

What AC repair actually costs in Hialeah Gardens

Honest answer: it depends on the issue, the parts needed and the type of system. A failed capacitor and a failed compressor are not in the same universe of cost, and anyone quoting you a flat repair price over the phone without seeing the unit is guessing. What we can promise is that you will know the number before we touch anything, and that the diagnosis you get will explain what failed in plain language.

Answers

Frequently asked

How much does AC repair cost?

AC repair costs vary depending on the issue, the parts needed and the system type. We diagnose the unit first, then give you a written price to approve before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Can you come out the same day?

Often, yes. We offer Same Day HVAC Services for urgent breakdowns. Tell us when you call what the system is doing and where you are, and we will be straight with you about the earliest we can be there.

Do you charge to diagnose the problem?

We explain any diagnostic charge when you book, before a technician is dispatched. You will never find a cost on the bill that was not discussed with you first.

Do you work on commercial systems too?

Yes. We handle commercial AC installation, repair and maintenance for offices and retail spaces, along with residential work. The process is the same: diagnose, quote in writing, then do the job.

Should I repair my old unit or replace it?

After the diagnosis we lay out both numbers and let you decide. If a repair is not worth the money on an aging system, we say so rather than fixing the same unit twice in one season. Financing is available on replacements.

Which areas do you cover?

Hialeah Gardens plus Hialeah, Miami, Opa Locka, Miami Gardens, Hollywood, Miami Beach, Pembroke Pines, North Miami Beach, Hallandale, Key Biscayne, Fort Lauderdale, Dania, Plantation, Homestead and Pompano Beach.
